The task was not easy at all, but with love for our work and the right materials, we achieved a great result.

Work process:

The desk was disassembled and taken to Formica Base. There, after repeated chemical treatment, the dirt and layers of paint were removed. The problem, or rather a watershed, was the disintegration of the authentic desk's roller cover into pieces. It was re-glued and took 1/3 more time, that is, 7 days of work to complete it. Finally, it was folded four times in a row to remove and fit all the elements of the structure. The lower movable and upper solid single-piece tops were removed by a millimeter and in places, for the lower one, it was also necessary to level off two or three millimeters of the protruding parts of the structurally figurative lower movable top. The same was filled with an additional element of solid oak. Unification in tone and shape and finally there was a triple finish with oil made by Formica. The old original color of the wood was restored, but it was changed from the glossiness of the varnish of those years to the natural oil finish of the wood thanks to beeswax, the main filler of our oil.
