About us

Formica was founded in 2006 by restorer Stoycho Vassilev, who completed his education during a three-year stay under the Belli Arti program to restore a 17th century monastery in southern Italy. Currently, a team of professionals is being created dedicated to the art of recreating coziness in one’s own home with the help of the warmth and light radiance of wooden furniture, often called “old” simply because of its appearance.

We specialize in the restoration of furniture dating from the late 19th and early and mid-20th centuries. We recreate their original appearance and breathe back the much-desired drop of life. We specialize in the restoration of leather, furniture fittings and the manufacture of molds for the reproduction of plaster casts for picture frames. We work with our own recipes for the preparation of most of the consumables needed for the restoration of furniture and its accessories.
